Interventional Cardiologist – Flexible Block Schedule

Position Highlights:

  • Schedule: Full-time equivalent (182.5 days/year) with a structured block schedule (7 days on/7 days off).  1-3 year contract.

Where flexibility meets stability. Block scheduling gives you predictable time on and true time off.

  • Clinical Responsibilities:
    • Outpatient cardiology clinic
    • Inpatient consults and rounding
    • 24/7 call during block schedule
  • Diagnostic & Interpretive Duties
    • Diagnostic LHC/RHC (Coronary Angiography)
    • Fractional Flow Reserve (FFR)
    • Intravascular Ultrasound (IVUS)
    • Echocardiography
    • Transesophageal Echocardiography (TEE)
    • Nuclear Cardiology Studies
    • Holter/Event Monitor Interpretation (preferred)
    • Vascular Ultrasound Interpretation (preferred)
    • Peripheral Diagnostic Angiography (preferred)
  • Procedures
    • Diagnostic Cardiac Catheterization
    • Coronary Intervention (PCI)
    • Radial Access Procedures
    • Cardioversion
    • Temporary Pacemaker Placement
    • Permanent Pacemaker Implantation (preferred)
    • Intra-Aortic Balloon Pump (IABP) Placement and Management
    • Impella Placement and Management
    • Pericardiocentesis
    • IVC Filter Placement and Retrieval
    • Peripheral Intervention (preferred)
    • Chronic Total Occlusion (CTO) Intervention
    • Catheter-Directed Thrombolysis (EKOS)
    • Mechanical Thrombectomy (Penumbra and similar thrombectomy systems)

Requirements:

  • Board Certification in Interventional Cardiology
  • 50 PCI’s/year for the last 2 years
  • OR Medical License and DEA- Licensure facilitation provided
  • Training and experience in fluoroscopy-guided cardiovascular procedures and radiation safety
