Interventional Cardiologist – Flexible Block Schedule

Position Highlights:

• Schedule: Full-time equivalent (182.5 days/year) with a structured block schedule (ex: 7 days on/7 days off).  1-3 year contract.

Where flexibility meets stability. Block scheduling gives you predictable time on and true time off.

• Clinical Responsibilities:
  • Outpatient cardiology clinic in Paintsville, serving the Big Sandy Region
  • Inpatient Consults in Paintsville
  • Procedures and STEMI call in Prestonsburg
  • Heart failure management
  • Lipid and hypertension management
  • Shared call during block schedule
• Diagnostic & Interpretive Duties:
  • Diagnostic LHC/RHC – Coronary angiography
  • Fractional Flow Reserve (FFR)
  • Instantaneous wave-free ratio (iFR)
  • IVUS
  • Nuclear cardiology studies
  • Transesophageal echocardiography (TEE)
  • Supervise or interpret stress testing
• Procedures:
  • Cardioversion
  • Cardiac Cath – Diagnostic/PCI
  • IABP
  • Temporary Pacemakers
• Collaborative Environment: Work closely with APPs, PCPs, Hospitalists,

Requirements:

• Board Certification in Interventional Cardiology and Cardiovascular Disease
• LA license – License Facilitation Provided
• 50 PCI’s in the last 12 months

• 75 Diagnostic Caths in the last 12 months
