Interventional Cardiology Role in South Texas – Flexible Block Schedule

Cardiology Position Highlights:

• Schedule: Full-time equivalent (182.5 days/year) with a structured block schedule (ex: 7 day on/7 days off, 14 days on/14 days off).  1-3 year contract.

Where flexibility meets stability. Block scheduling gives you predictable time on and true time off.

• Clinical Responsibilities:
  • Inpatient Consults and Rounding
  • Outpatient cardiology
  • 24/7 call during block schedule

• Diagnostic & Interpretive Duties:
  • Diagnostic LHC/RHC – Coronary angiography
  • Fractional Flow Reserve (FFR) /IVUS
  • Nuclear cardiology studies
  • Transesophageal echocardiography (TEE)
  • Supervise or interpret stress testing
  • Echocardiogram (ECHO)

• Procedures:
  • Cardiac Cath – Diagnostic/PCI
  • Cardioversion
  • IABP/Impella
  • Temporary Pacemakers
  • Permanent Pacemakers (Preferred but not required)
  • Peripheral Diagnostic and Intervention (Preferred but not required)
  • TAVR- (Preferred but not required)

• Collaborative Environment: Work closely with  PCPs, Hospitalists,

Requirements:

• Board Certification in Interventional Cardiology
• 50 PCIs in the last 18 months
• TX License –  Licensure facilitation provided
