Cardiology Clinical Supervisor – Echocardiography & EKG

Status: Full-Time, On-Site
Assignment Length: 13–26 weeks (anticipated 26 weeks to start)
Position Summary:
The Cardiology Clinical Supervisor provides operational and clinical oversight for the Echocardiography and EKG departments at Salinas Valley Medical Center. This role supervises all Echo and EKG technologists, manages daily workflow, ensures high-quality diagnostic studies, and maintains regulatory compliance. Responsibilities include staffing, scheduling, training, performance oversight, and departmental coordination, including support during Epic transitions and reporting challenges. The Supervisor also serves as the acting department lead in the absence of the Cardiology Manager.
Requirements:
– Education: High school diploma or GED required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
– Licensure: RDCS, RCS, or RVT certification required; current AHA BLS certification.
– Experience: Minimum two years performing EKGs, Holter monitoring, treadmill testing, and/or cardiac sonography (or equivalent experience). Two years of supervisory experience required.
Compensation Structure:
Compensation includes hourly wages, holiday pay, and a guaranteed non-taxed weekly per-diem reimbursement. Hourly rates adjust during high per-diem periods to maintain a balanced and compliant compensation package.
